ENCYCLOPEDIC CARTOONS- Film Projekt mit Teilnehmern aus 4 Kontinenten
ENCYCLOPEDIC CARTOONS ist ein Video Projekt, an dem Künstler aus 4 Kontinenten teilnehmen. Das Projekt wird von mir gemanaged und kuratiert. Die Premiere wird am 12. Februar 2010 Kulturpalast Wedding, Berlin, stattfinden.
Ziel des Projekts ist der Aufbau einer enzyklopädischen Struktur i. S. einer Sammlung vieler relativ kurzer Videofilme zu vielen unterschiedlichen Begriffen, die von Kuratoren nach Themenbereichen zusammengestellt werden können.

ENCYCLOPEDIC CARTOONS.
The project´s idea is base on the encyclopedia, knowledge pool of the 18th century put together in a multi volume book project. The encyclopedia aimes making world´s phenomena understandable and put them into a larger context beyond religious explanations, which usually had been the first and only world interpretations in the middle ages provided by the catholic church. By this encyclopedia is the first try in modern time shaping the world.
In our time knowledge is provided by sciencists and changes everyday. Today it would be impossible to bring together the different concepts in order to understand the world from a unique position. Nevertheless the encyclopedia is still a distinct concept, which more than in the old days presents an utopia to us.
ENCYCLOPEDIC CARTOONS provides for each letter of the alphabet a more or less abstract word. Loosely connected to the word is a single film running from a few seconds to 4 minutes.

TRANSFERA TV
Transfera is an independent and non-commercial television programm dedicated to international New Moving Image, produced by Transfera Media Arts under the artistic direction of Iury Lech, that broadcasts by cable tv at Canal Autor channel-Orange (Dial 35) and euskaltel- every friday night from Madrid, Spain.
The philosophy of the programm is to divulge and to promote contemporary processes of interaction between visual and sound art that outcomes in an emerging and distinguishing creative alternative, from Video Art to Avant-Garde Cinema, specially including the contributions of Digital and Electronic Kinetic Art.
The objective of the project does not remain alone in disclosing consolidated videoartists, but is particularly designed in offering an unique media platform to the emergent audiovisual artists with a projection of future, far away from conventional visual narratives and immersed in experimentation, innovation, creative risk and multidisciplinarity, that do not find visibility in mass media spaces.
